    Shannon Parker-Bruno

Shannon has been performing her entire life being cast in a variety of productions from a young age and into high school. Shannon took the Acting program at Douglas college, receiving an associate degree with a Major in Theatre.  This is where she deepened her love of the Arts and knew she wanted to use this passion in her future.  She continued in Acting at Trinity Western University (TWU), receiving a Bachelor of Arts with a Major in Theatre.  It was at TWU that she directed her first production under the instruction of Angela Conrad.  She completed her Bachelor of Education at Simon Fraser University with a Major in Curriculum and Instruction.

Shannon has taught for over nine years in a variety of teaching positions but has always come back to her love of the Arts and worked to incorporate this into her work.  Most recently she is working as a Drama teacher at Abbotsford Senior Secondary School where she has directed student self-written productions for the district festivals as well as worked on dinner theatre for their schools' main stage production, most recently Cage Birds by David Campton.  Shannon is excited to be joining the BC Thespians and to see how it can continue to grow a passion for the arts in young people in our region.
