This session will bea demonstration of approaching a text from an image-based stance. Using a scene from MACBETH, I am going to show how this work might take shape, using tools of alternate theatre; physicality, archetype, emblems and imagery. Characters wil be developed using only physical tools, and the text brought to life through physicalization of each characters story. We will also develop a set of emblems or iconic character gestures to create a stylized acting methodology.
